Washington State dental hygienists are required to have proof of 15 hours of CE per year for re-license. The courses must relate to dental hygiene. No specifications are made that limit on-line courses. The clinical dental team must also have BLS for health care providers certification by the American Heart Association. If you are audited, you need at minimum two years of proof of continuing education.
GSDHS sponsored classes
At each general meeting we offer 1 hour of CE. To provide members with CE credits, the business portion of the general meeting takes place from 7:00 - 7:30 pm. The 1 hour CE follows, from 7:30 - 8:30 pm.
Other CE opportunities
WSDHA has information about CE classes at their website on the WSDHA Continuing Education page.
The ADHA has online CE classes and class information available from their website on the ADHA Continuing Education page.
